Cecilia Brendel was born in St. Louis, Missouri. While growing up she developed her talents as an artist with her family. Cecilia studied art with courses from Indiana University at South Bend as well as graduating with an Associates Degree in Graphic Arts from the Ivy Tech State College in South Bend, Indiana in 1982.

Her experience as an artist includes technical illustrating at the University of Notre Dame, Florida Institute of Technology, Wright State University, McGraw Hill Publishing, Holiday Rambler, Harley Davidson, and LaComedia Dinner Theatre. More recently, she has developed her skills as a painter, working in acrylics and oils for clients in California, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, Iowa, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Indiana.

In 1987 she married her sweetheart, Michael, and has two lovely children Kristina and David. Family is very important to her so she incorporates their initials in the paintings as well as the clients' initials to show her sense of unity in the family.

Many people see the Thomas Kinkade style in her work. No surprise here - He is one of her favorite artists.

Although Cecilia is based in the Dayton Ohio area, she has clients from all over the United States.
