Born in St Louis Missouri, Cecilia Brendel was formally trained in technical illustration and graphic arts. She later turned to oil painting and studied with master artists Alexei Antonov, Cesar Santos, Douglas Flynt, and Virgil Elliott. Her work has been acquired by both commercial and private clients/collectors.

Cecilia’s paintings reflect her technical illustrating background brought to oil painting with a combination of fine details and representational elements. “I have always told my students to paint what motivates them, and this is exactly what I do”. This led to series paintings based on particular themes of interest. Her clients have ranged from hotels in Europe, hospitals and other private and commercial clients world wide. She welcomes new commissions for family portraits, or any special projects. Recently, her love of fine details has inspired a series of miniature paintings which have been showcased in American Art Collector Magazine as “One To Collect".

Cecilia is owner of Olde Masters Galleria in Centerville OH. She regularly teaches private painting lessons and conducts oil painting workshops.
